Dom turned 10 months during our Austin trip to visit family. He had a blast playing with the cousins. He loved having older boys around to rumble and tumble with. He never complained and never cried about anything...he was such a good sport. Cousin K gave him a big hug every 5 minutes, I think he will miss him. Too bad we dont live very close. He also loved playing with his younger cousin, baby C (they are only 9 days apart). She could hold her own, let me tell you. She would come over and hit him on the head and try to grab the same toy. But Dom would just walk away, something baby C can't do yet.
We went to little K's flag football game on Saturday, which they won. He did so good, and he was sooo into it. Little D was cheering his big bro along with mommy and daddy while I snapped away pics of the babies. We couldn't see downtown Austin because there was a big festival (Austin City Limits) and it was too crazy, especially for the kids. So we just stayed home and visited with family, after all, that was the whole point of the trip. We watched the older boys watch wrestling and the babies play.
They loved playing with the football equipment. I am not quite sure why Dom sits like that, but he's done it ever since he learned how to stand. I've never seen a baby sit like that. He's the odd one, I guess. He was barefoot the entire time, and his poor feetsies were so red at the end of the day. We really need to get him some shoes.
After the game, we got ice cream and the parlor had a mini play area....and that's where the babies gravitated towards. Dom loves new toys and of course both babies leaned towards the same toys...it was funny to see who would win and get to keep it....most of the time it was baby C....she's got more practice because she has older brothers. Little Dom didn't mind though, he would just get another one.
Everyone watching K play outside while Uncle Spencer is cooking dinner. Dom was getting ready to leave. the pic seems to show him pushing the other baby, but he really didn't. He was just walking away. He gets bored so easily.
Baby Dom does so good on trips, I'm so proud of him. He hasn't screamed or cried in an airplane yet, and loves to eat while he's in the air (something that I can't do). Everyone always compliments him on how good of a flier he is. It's funny...to see everywone walk past him cause they don't want to sit next to a baby, until they all realize how good he is when we finally land.
