30 Months

Ethan is in full 2 yr old mode, but still supe sweet. He always says "please" and "thank you". I have come to realize in the past few months, that this was probably Spencer as a child. He goes with the flow, is polite, listens to everyone first before screaming, actually doesn't mind sharing.....he's actually pretty good for a two year old. My husband always says he got lost in the flow of 9 kids, but honestly, that's probably because he was so nice. If he would have been the problem child, he probably would have been front and center. So, I imagine Ethan is a 100% mini Spencer. He loves making his brother happy, and loves to share with him.

This summer, we had fruit and veggies growing on our backyard. He tried cherry tomatoes, but did not like them. He likes pasta sauce though. He also ate the cucumbers and loves anything with the word "berry" in it. He loves to share my juices with me. I don't worry about him when it comes to food. He's adventurous, he may not like everything he eats, but at least he tries.

He loves naps and would sleep 3 hours if I let him. All he needs is his blanket and ipad. He sleeps every day still and I love it. It's so nice to have just one crazy kid at one time. He sleeps all night too....if he had a good dinner. Otherwise, he'll wake me up at 2am asking for milk. By waking up, I mean he'll come into my room and turn on the light.....SO BRIGHT.

He's stretched a lot in the last month. He doesn't look like a baby anymore. He did summer swim toddler classes and he sucked at it. He doesn't listen and had a hard time getting in the pool without me. BUT, he was too big for the mommy and me class. So, we dealt with it, and we had a two week mom and toddler class. I think he just likes to splash around. We may skip it next year, and just buy a pass to the splash park/pool area here in town. He doesn't like his life vest and loves jumping in, even if there is no one there to catch him. One thing he did learn, was that he could drown....so maybe he'll be more cautious around the pool now.

He also came to all of his older brother's games. He loved sitting in the bench with the players. He was the unofficial mascot. They all loved him- Dom's brother, they called him. He kept saying "ok my turn (with the bat)"....but his turn never came haha. Someday it will though.

The weather was so HOT it was almost impossible to have fun at the ball park. There was no shade at all! But he made the most of it, and he's a trooper. Everytime Dom hit, he would say "good job buddy!" and clap. I'm not sure if he knew what he was doing or was just mimicking me. Either way it was sweet.

He loves to color and match colors. He can count all the way to 30 and knows several songs and likes to sing around the house. I really should get it on video. His favorite is twinkle twinkle little star. He loves to watch the mathfacts video with older brother, but also loves to watch team umizoomi and paw patrol. If Dom is not in charge of the tv, that is usually his pick.
