Happy Birthday to me!!! Yup world, I am now 24 years old. Man, thats like mid twentites. Its a little depressing. I'm good though. Leslie took me to Shoguns the resaurant (http://www.restaurantshogun.com/) last Friday for dinner. It was awesome. If you haven't gone there I highly recommend it for a date or even in a group of 6-10 (we went alone so we were placed at a table with others we didn't know). So you walk in the doors and you instantly realize that its darker than normal. I think the purpose of that is to help you relax. Anyway, we went at 7pm and if we didn't have reservations we would have had to wait until 9pm for the next available table. So we sat down at this huge table for about 10. However, only 3/4 of the table's perimeter is for sitting. The other fourth is for the chef to cook. You see, the huge table for 10 is really not a table at all, but rather a huge grill/hotplate. So after we ordered, the waitress brought us a japanense beef broth soup with fried onions. She then brought all 10 of us salad with tons of dressing on it. The chef soon came out rolling a tray of all our raw food, including about 5 pounds of margarine. The show began. He grabbed a couple of whole eggs and spun them on the grill like a top and said in his broken American accent while laughing, "Egg roll." We all busted up. He then proceeded to cook all our food, first grilling some shrimp and giving us all a little bit as an appetizer to start off, along with rice. He took a slice of a raw onion and took the inside layers out and stacked them on top of each other, creating a pyramid. He then filled it with cooking oil and then set it on fire. This ball of flame burst straight up to the ceiling. As he cooked our food, he also served it to us so we kept getting these mounds of food thrown on our plates and it was hard to keep up.
Anyway, after the soup, salad, appetizer, and entree, we got dessert (all included in the price). It was prolly the best restaurant I've ever been to. I think the only thing that could have made it better would be if they had Japenese warrior ninjas performing a sweet ninja show.
