Daisypath Anniversary tickers

February 21, 2012

WOW.. so our last post was in 2009. How time flies... well, lets see... Spencer graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelors in Nursing.
So proud of him, He was so excited to move on and get a real job. As a graduation present we traveled to the island of Oahu, part of the Hawaiian Islands. It was so much fun, everyday was something new. We climbed Diamondhead Crater which we thought would only take about an hour. It ended up being an all day thing. But the view at the top was amazing.

We also visited Pearl Harbor, against Spencer's wishes (he hates anything historic). But he admits that it was cool, but will never do it again. We also did a Luau which was kinda cool. Not sure if it was a traditional luau or a tourist thing, either way, the food was good.

We also saw the Oahu temple but unfortunately did not go in:

We traveled by bus everywhere, which I really liked. Spencer hates public transportation, but I grew up with it, and had no idea how much I missed it. We also had plenty of time to hit the beach and also go to the DOLE plantation. We got to roam around and see the pineapple farm and even taste pineapple ice cream, which was surprisingly very good. The pineapples are very sweet and Spencer got hooked. He was convinced that he could stuff his suitcase with them and bring them back. These vacations were almost as good as our honeymoon in Tenerife. After we came back a week later, we moved to St Louis were Spencer was offered a job as an ICU nurse, and have been here ever since. Life has been good to us and have been very lucky to be able to travel so much in our 4 years of marriage.
