The ZOO

Yesterday, we decided to go to the zoo because the weather was going to be fantastic. It was better than expected, the high was 69 degrees and the wind was blowing steadily. Boo hoo to the rest of March- we're suppose to be getting a cold front and will not get higher than 49 degrees. So, I 'm really glad we went.
That morning, Dom tripped over a weight Daddy was using and got a nasty bruise just underneath his eye- first one. He cried very little, which surprised me- cause it got inflamed really fast and turned purple almost immediately. I'm glad it took him this long to get a nasty boo boo, cause it looked nasty.  About an hour later, he seemed fine and didn't even notice it anymore- so we went ahead to the zoo. I gave him some tylenol in case it bothered him.
He did not pay attention to anything...he didn't like the petting zoo- guinea pigs or goats. He didn't like seeing the elephants, rhinos, penguins, or the hippo. We even got great seats to watch the sea lion show- NOTHING. All he wanted to do was just run and get lost. He did enjoy the carousel. Spencer's coworker had leftover tickets for the payed attractions and gave some to him. We ended up having an extra ticket for the carousel, so we gave it to a dad that was short a ticket- that was my good deed for the day. Dominic did get tired, and slept on the ride home- so our mission was accomplished.

 We arrived at 10am- and the traffic was already horrific. We had to park really far away.

 He woudn't hold the guinea pig or smile. But I guess that has something to do with the nasty bruise on the right eye.

 He would approach the goats....seem to want to pet them....

 and then back away.

 He did like the fishes....go figure.

 And the carousel...We almost got a half smile from him. he loved that his stork went up and down.

 This was the last thing we did- the train. He was just about to drop.

He barely got buckled in and immediately fell asleep. What an eventful day!
